The newly appointed director general of Ukraine’s state-owned defence holding, UkrOboronProm, has outlined a number of goals for the company as he takes charge of the organisation.

In a 27 February statement, Pavlo Burkin said that the first steps for the organisation would be the implementation of the Ukrainian State Defence Order to high standards and in a timely manner, the creation of a critical technologies production cycle, and to increase the efficiency of the company’s subsidiaries.

Burkin’s first core step for the company is to focus on delivering quality equipment to the Ukrainian military as part of the country’s State Defence Order, with the company seeking to streamline its structure as a key part of improving its delivery capabilities.
