Boeing and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) signed an agreement on 6 February to undertake joint research and development in data analytics.
The US corporation said at the Singapore Airshow 2018 that the accord will see the two organisations “combining resources and knowledge to develop data-driven capabilities” and gain insight into “maintaining and supporting systems more effectively”.
The two sides will also collaborate on determining areas where the implementation of data analytics can be most beneficial for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), which operates several Boeing platforms including F-15SG Strike Eagle multirole fighter aircraft, KC-135R Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, and CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters.
