BAE Systems is expanding its market share in Northeast Asia in line with the UK-headquartered company’s growing emphasis on international markets, executives told Jane’s on 5 February in Singapore.
Speaking a day before the start of the Singapore Airshow 2018, John Brosnan, BAE Systems’ managing director for Southeast Asia, and Alan Garwood, the company’s business development director, said the group is experiencing expansion across the Asia Pacific and, in the recent past, some of its fastest growth has been in Japan and Taiwan.
Sales to both countries progress primarily through BAE Systems’ US operations and the US government’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) mechanism.
