On 19 January, Italy’s Carabinieri General Command announced an order of 1,000 Beretta PMX submachine guns worth EUR816,000 (USD1 million).
The Beretta PMX is a 9x19 mm selective-fire weapon, unveiled at the Milipol police exhibition in November 2017.
It was developed by Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta upon a Carabinieri request for a replacement for its Beretta M12S/PM12-S, manufactured since 1961 and no longer in production.
