Poland ends grounding of MiG-29 fighters

On 5 January, the Polish Air Force ended the grounding of its MiG-29 jet fighters.

All MiG-29s except those on quick reaction alert were grounded on 18 December, when a MiG-29A crash landed in a forest at the end of a low-visibility training flight in bad weather.

The 28-year-old pilot, who has flown 200 hours in MiG-29s and 200 in other aircraft, survived with only minor injuries.
