Poland looks to extend military training

03 January 2018

Poland is looking to train 30,000 reservists and Narodowe Siły Rezerwowe (National Reserve Forces: NSR) civic volunteers in 2018, according to information provided by the General Command of the Polish Armed Forces. Additionally the plan assumes the training of a further 11,000 personnel as part of the preparatory service (for those who have not yet received military training and would like to do it on a voluntary basis).

This will be a slight uptick on last year, as in 2017 the Polish defence forces trained 23,000 soldiers from the reserve and NSR pool, while another 10,000 were trained within the preparatory service.
