The US government has added two Russian companies, Novator Design Bureau and Titan Central Design Bureau, to the country’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR) entity list.
The announcement was made via the US government’s Federal Register publication on 20 December. Addition to the EAR’s entity list entails review of exports to the companies listed, and a policy of presumed denial is to be enacted against them.
A US Department of State official told Jane’s that the addition of the two companies to the entity list stemmed from a declared determination that Russia was in violation of its obligations under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty by developing a ground-launched cruise missile with a prohibited range.
