The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) will receive a further 25 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), Rheinmetall announced on 13 December.
It said the German government awarded it a EUR17 million (USD20 million) contract in October to upgrade 25 surplus Bundeswehr vehicles and that deliveries would begin in the first quarter of 2018. It said the IFVs would be “fully modernised” and painted in desert camouflage. The package also includes training, ammunition, spares, tools, documentation, and support.
Rheinmetall said 25 Marders were delivered to the JAF in 2016/2017.
