Raytheon has announced the formation of a wholly owned company in the United Arab Emirates, a move that comes as the company marks 30 years of activity in the emirates.
The creation of Raytheon Emirates was announced on 7 December.
John Brauneis, who was a vice-president of supply chain management within Raytheon, has been named chief executive of the new subsidiary.
Raytheon said in a statement that the creation of the venture “supports the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 [strategy] by forming an aerospace and defence business that fosters cyber-secure digital transformation, contributes to the nation’s economic diversification and employs a highly-skilled, highly-productive Emirati workforce”.
