Indonesia equips pilots with GECO Air mission planning system

The Indonesian Air Force (Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Udara: TNI-AU) has issued pilots of its frontline combat and trainer aircraft with Graphical Electronic Cockpit Organiser (GECO) Air mission planning tablet, manufacturer Inzpire announced on 5 December.

With a contract having been signed earlier in 2017, the TNI-AU has rolled out the air planning mission tool to pilots of its Sukhoi Su-27/30 ‘Flanker’, Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, BAE Systems Hawk, Korea Aerospace Industries T-50 Golden Eagle, and Embraer EMB-314 Super Tucano platforms.

“GECO Air is designed to complement existing on-board avionics systems by bringing modern and powerful commercial off-the-shelf hardware technology to the cockpit and providing a cost-effective, easy-to-upgrade solution.
