Wilayt Gharb Afriqiyya claims attack that killed nine people in Nigeria's Yobe

IN A STATEMENT released on 26 October, the Islamic State's Wilayat Gharb Afriqiyya claimed responsibility for an attack that killed eight soldiers and one civilian, and wounded five other people on 24 October in an unspecified location in Yobe state, Reuters reported. The statement claimed that the militants took three four-wheel-drive vehicles and others mounted with rifles and heavy weaponry and various ammunition. The claim could not be independently verified.
