Beeper upgrades cellular bonder

19 October 2017

Israel's Beeper has developed a system for combining different cellular networks to provide greater capacity and data throughput, and showcased its latest version at Association of the US Army 2017 in Washington, DC.

The IE-5000 provides a secure software-defined wide area network bonding router that can aggregate up to four separate 3G, 4G, and LTE links into a unified high-bandwidth connection, spreading transmissions across the different networks. Capacity can be further increased by connecting two IE-5000s in a daisy chain.

This will provide sufficient bandwidth to enable live streaming video, data, and voice to be transmitted from a field location to a command centre over cellular networks.
