General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc (GA-ASI) has signed an agreement with South Korean firm Huneed Technologies to explore potential areas of collaboration, the two companies announced at the ADEX exhibition in Seoul on 18 October.
Through the memorandum of understanding (MOU), GA-ASI and Huneed will look to identify common areas of technology, manufacturing, and strategic interests. The MOU also positions Huneed to become a supplier for GA-ASI in South Korea.
Huneed, a developer and manufacturer of airborne systems and military communications, is partly owned by Boeing, which secured a 17.4% share in Huneed in 2006 for USD20 million. In April, Boeing’s stake in the company was 11.8%.
