DSEI 2017: Praesidium Global unveils Pathfinder ISR solution

13 September 2017

Praesidium Global launched its Pathfinder reconnaissance system at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2017 conference in London.

A complete Pathfinder system consists of an air-droppable crate that houses two Scout unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) that are deployed to carry out intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).

Martin Alexander, the company’s business development manager, told Jane’s that Pathfinder is designed to fit into a standard NATO 462 pallet and is delivered by parachute – including the GPS-guided MMIST Sherpa parachute that is currently in operation with the US Army.

The Scout UGVs have maximum endurance of 48 hours, according to Alexander, and utilise the crate’s doors as ramps when deploying.
