IAI, Honeywell sign anti-jam technology MOU

18 July 2017

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Honeywell covering the development of anti-jamming GPS navigation, the company announced on 17 July.

The agreement covers integrating products from the two companies, the ADA GPS Anti-Jamming system from IAI and Honeywell’s GPS Inertial Navigation System, with IAI’s offering serving as a subsystem.

“The joint product can be deployed as a turn-key solution or as an upgrade to IAI and Honeywell's existing customer base,” Boaz Levi, an executive vice-president at IAI said in a press release.

Analysis

The announcement does not disclose the financial arrangements reached between the two companies for revenue sharing on the sales of the joint product in the future, although Honeywell’s system serves as the primary backbone for the joint offering.
