Paris Air Show: Russian Helicopters to extend order backlog

The Russian Helicopters holding company, a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation, is planning to extend its order backlog to 500 helicopters by the end of 2017, company director-general Andrey Boginsky told Jane's at the 52nd Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.

"In 2015-16, a range of customers, primarily foreign ones, had a wait-and-see attitude towards co-operation with Russia due to the geopolitical situation. However, they see that the Russian Helicopters holding fulfills its contract obligations fully and does not have financial problems, as well as boosting its efforts in this area. India, China, Egypt, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, Niger, Burkina Faso, and other countries are among these partners.
