The wreckage of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) BAE Systems Hawk Mk 108 advanced training aircraft that went missing on 15 June has been found in Malaysia's eastern state of Terengganu, according to local media reports.
The wreckage was spotted by a RMAF helicopter search-and-rescue team in a swamp area near the city of Chukai a day after the aircraft had disappeared from radar screens, the Bernama News Agency reported.
It is believed that the aircraft crashed approximately 30 minutes after taking off from Kuantan Air Base about 70 km south of Chukai, killing both pilots on board, the media outlet reported.
