Paris Air Show 2017: Boeing officials reveal production plans for Qatari Eagles

19 June 2017

Boeing officials revealed on 18 June that the building of F-15 Advanced Eagle aircraft for Qatar could begin in the coming years.

Building of the Qatari aircraft – designated F-15QA – could be started as early as 2019 should the deal be finalised in the near-term. Production of the 36 aircraft would then be completed by 2022, a Boeing official said.

The delivery schedule has yet to be decided by the Qataris, with the final details of the contracts still being negotiated. One component of this is the training of crews for the aircraft, with responsibility for the work yet to be determined.
