US Army aviation units are working with South Korean forces on how to best counter threats posed by North Korean maritime special operations forces (SOFs) and weapons of mass destruction (WMD), according to a report by the US Army News Service on 3 May.
"In South Korea, the United States military and the Republic of Korea [ROK] military are working on ways to counter the threats posed from the North. Aviation is a big part of that," US Army Brigadier General David J Francis was quoted as saying on 28 April during the 2017 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit in Nashville, Tennessee.
