IDEX 2017: Taiwan works to expand AAW capability

The Taiwanese navy is looking to expand the anti-air warfare (AAW) capability of its next generation of light surface combatants.

"We are developing a new concept to be mounted on the next units of the Tuo Jiang missile corvettes," Dr Harry Hung, programme manager at Taiwan's National Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) told Jane's at the IDEX 2017 defence exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
