Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems is to deliver the UK Royal Navy's (RN's) new Crowsnest airborne surveillance and control (ASaC) capability under a GBP269 million (USD327.6 million) Demonstration and Manufacture (D&M) contract announced on 16 January.
The contract, awarded by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in late November 2016, covers the production of Crowsnest radar/mission system kits, modifications to existing Merlin HM.2 helicopters, training, and initial support.
