EIGHTY alleged militants were detained and three others - identified as Loren Fahad (alias Loren Datu-Haron y Dizon), aged 49 and Amir Hussein, aged 17 - were arrested by police during a counter-terrorism operation raid at an Islamic Centre in Quiapo in the Philippine's capital Manila on 7 January, The Philippine Star reported. Reports added that the suspects were arrested for alleged involvement in threats to the Feast of the Black Nazarene on 8 January. Police seized a calibre, a .45 pistol, a hand grenade and 100g of suspected methamphetamine drugs during the operation.
