With no fewer than 50 companies and four government organisations, the Canadian presence this year is the largest ever at IDEX. The Canadian Pavilion (Stand 01-B46) is hosting 16 exhibitors, including the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), in support of the country’s defence and security exporters.
Canada’s defence and security companies are best known for armoured vehicles, special mission aircraft, C4ISR, training systems, cyber security and shelters, as well as VIP helicopters.
These companies are represented by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI), with the mandate to strengthen relations with external stakeholders.
The industry employs more than 100,000 Canadians and contributes in excess of $13 billion to the country’s economy. Some 40,000 Canadians work in the UAE, resulting from long-standing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
