Boeing seeks to add Southeast Asian companies to defence supply chain

Boeing is seeking to establish a network of defence industrial suppliers in Southeast Asia to support its increased penetration across the region.

Dozens of companies there currently support Boeing's commercial aerospace operations, although there are none that provide defence manufacturing services to the company, a Boeing spokesman confirmed to IHS Jane's on 21 November.

He added, however, that Boeing is seeking to establish a network of regional defence suppliers in the near future, but stressed that such a development would remain dependent on the availability of relevant industrial capability.

"Boeing's Southeast Asia procurement comes from more than 50 suppliers in the region.
