Meprolight will display its MVO line (Meprolight Variable Optic) and Meprolight Carbine Optic (MCO) Pro red dot sight for the first time in Europe at the Enforce Tac defence exhibition to be held in late February 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The MVO series is Meprolight's first entry into the magnified sight segment. Previously, the company focused on non-magnified electro-optical red dot and fused thermal sights, although the company does offer 3Γ— and 4Γ— flip-up magnifiers as part of its portfolio.

The MVO series consist of three models: a 1–8Γ—28 low-power variable optic (LPVO), a 3–18Γ—44 medium-power model, and a 6–36Γ—56 high-power model. The sights of the MVO are first focal plane (FFP) variable power optics, with a common 34 mm diameter tube. The sights feature an etched glass reticle of two different types: M1 MRAD for the LPVO model and M3 MRAD for the medium- and high-power models.

Power and features

The MVO series are powered by a single CR2023 battery to provide red or green reticle illumination with six day settings and two night-vision settings. All sights feature a 12-hour automatic shutoff function. The three sights of the MVO series feature protective caps on the turrets and an optional extension to the magnification lever. The medium- and high-power models also feature a zero-stop functionality. The LPVO and medium-power MVO are currently in production, and Meprolight is currently supplying them to an undisclosed customer. The high-power MVO is undergoing the final design qualifications and will be ready for production towards the middle of 2025.
