MKE announced in a press release it sent to Janes on 6 July 2026 that it had signed an agreement with Albania to supply six Boran Air Transportable Light Towed Howitzers (ATLTHs) and ammunition. Albania is the second NATO member and European country after North Macedonia to procure the Boran howitzer.

An MKE spokesperson declined on 7 July to give Janes a contract value or a delivery schedule for the Albanian order.

North Macedonia formed a battery of six Borans marked by a ceremony at the ‘Mirce Acev' barracks in Prilep on 18 July 2025. During the ceremony, Aselsan's ADOP 300-T fire support command and control system and Volkan 230/105 artillery fire control systems (FCS) were delivered for the Borans.

The six howitzers are part of a battery of the Macedonian army's Light Infantry Battalion Group.

The first international customer for Boran, Bangladesh, received a battalion's worth of 18 Borans in 2024. The MKE spokesperson declined to answer whether Malaysia had received the 12 Borans it intends to procure or how many of the artillery pieces have been ordered and received by the Turkish Armed Forces.

According to MKE, the Boran 105 mm, 30 calibre ATLTH weighs 1,700 kg, which can be modified according to customer requirements. It can be airlifted by Sikorsky S-70 and Chinook helicopters or transported by heavy-duty tactical vehicles. During Exercise ‘EFES-2026' held in Doğanbey, close to Izmir, Türkiye, on 20 April to 21 May, Borans were carried as slung loads by transport helicopters and one of the artillery pieces was displayed on the flatbed of a 4x4 vehicle.
