Ukrainian company Fire Point has tested the FP-7 ballistic missile, video of which appeared on social media at the end of February. The missile reportedly has a maximum speed of 1,500 m/s and a range up to 200 km, with a warhead weighing 150 kg.
Meanwhile, Fire Point is mass producing the Flamingo jet-powered cruise missile with a range up to 3,000 km and a warhead weighing over 1,000 kg. Flamingo incorporates advanced guidance systems resistant to electronic warfare, ensuring accuracy even in contested environments, according to Fire Point.
The FP-7 was unveiled shortly before a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the night of 1–2 March injured five people and damaged 20 buildings in the southern Russian port and naval base of Novorossiysk.
The Russian Ministry of Defence said it had downed 172 Ukrainian UAVs on the night of 1–2 March, including 67 over the Black Sea and 66 over the Krasnodar region where Novorossiysk is located.
