Jet Aviation France has delivered the first leased Pilatus PC-24 aircraft for the French Navy (Marine Nationale – MN), the company announced on 8 May 2026.
The first of three twin-engined business jets was handed over to the Direction de la maintenance aéronautique (DMAé), which awarded the contract under a single acquisition, leasing, and sustainment arrangement for the MN.
“The aircraft, known as the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet, will primarily be used for pilot training, including instrument flight training and periodic proficiency checks, as well as the transport of urgent cargo,” the subsidiary of General Dynamics said, adding that delivery of the remaining aircraft will follow in phases.
Powered by two Williams International 15.2 kN FJ44-4A engines, the PC-24 has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 8,500 kg (18,740 lb), a maximum payload of 1,406 kg (3,100 lb), a maximum certified altitude of 45,000 ft, a maximum cruise speed of 440 kt, and a range of about 1,154 n miles (2,138 km) at maximum payload, according to Pilatus.
Certified for single or dual pilot operation, the aircraft can accommodate between eight and 10 passengers depending on internal configuration. Pilatus also offers an air ambulance version.
The French Navy is the first European military operator of the PC‑24, following the contract that was signed in October 2025. In military service, the type has also been ordered by Botswana, Indonesia, Qatar, and Switzerland.
