UK-based company Evolve Dynamics announced it will integrate signals intelligence (SIGINT) system SkyAgent 001 from Sky Spy into its unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to a company press release issued on 29 May 2026.
This follows the testing of SkyAgent 001 integrated with Evolve Dynamics' Sky Mantis 2 UAV during the Galene exercise organised by France's Cyber Defence Command, according to the release.
In the scenario, French military personnel saw the system consisting of the UAV and an airborne radio frequency (RF) sensor detect, classify and geolocate all high-priority emitters. The electromagnetic conditions were deemed “complex”, with the system showing operational potential for tactical spectrum awareness, said Lieutenant-Colonel Élie Fontana, head of the GCEM (Guerre dans le Champ Électromagnétique) Unit, in France's Cyber Defence Command (COMCYBER).
Now, the two companies will integrate SkyAgent 001 with Evolve Dynamics' smaller UAVs including its Wolfe-NATO platform. The UAV weighs less than 4 kg, with a 3-axis gimbal with dual electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) sensors and frequency-hopping capability, and a range of 3 km, extending to 10 km with a long-range kit, as per the manufacturer's website. It flies up to one hour per mission. Drawing on their “shared frontline experience from Ukraine”, the companies trialled the system at Evolve Dynamics' facility in Kyiv, Ukraine, Tom Redman, CEO of Evolve Dynamics, said in the release.
