Hundreds of Malloy T-150 heavy-lift unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been sent to Ukraine since 2022, with the most recent delivery in 2026, a UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) representative told Janes on 8 April.
“Additional deliveries are expected,” the MoD representative said, without adding details on a timeline.
BAE Systems did not wish to comment on specific use-cases of the Malloy T-150 in Ukraine, citing operational sensitivities. BAE Systems acquired Malloy Aeronautics in February 2024 and incorporated it into its research and development arm, FalconWorks.
“We provide a range of uncrewed capabilities to the UK MoD and it's for them to advise on how those capabilities may be used in the defence of Ukraine,” a BAE Systems spokesperson said on 9 April.
Malloy T-150 UAVs are used by Royal Navy and British Army specialist units, according to the UK MoD. On 10 April, BAE Systems said the Royal Marines UAV operators of Malloy Flight, Delta Squadron, part of the Commando Logistic Regiment, used a T-150 to carry out critical logistical missions. The missions were conducted in temperatures as low as -28°C in northern Norway.
The Malloy T-150 was declared ready for frontline operations in 2025, according to BAE Systems.
The T-150 is a heavy-lift UAV that can carry up to 68 kg, fly for up to 40 minutes, and has a top speed of 60 mph (97 km/h), according to a 24 February news release by the Royal Navy.
