Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) has produced its first batch of Linza unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in Germany and is delivering them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to a 1 April 2026 QFI press release.
The priority is now to increase output, stabilise production and ensure continuous supply aligns with operational demand, Matthias Lehna, managing director of QFI, said in the release. Further details on the delivery are being “withheld to ensure operational security”, QFI added.
The Linza UAS, developed by Ukraine's Frontline Robotics, was produced under the Build with Ukraine initiative, the release said. Germany's Quantum Systems announced the launch of the QFI joint venture (JV) with Frontline Robotics on 15 December 2025. In February 2026, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the QFI facility with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and was handed the first Linza 3.0 UAS manufactured for the AFU in Germany, Quantum Systems added. The QFI facility in Germany is expected to produce at least 10,000 Zoom and Linza UAS for Ukraine in 2026, a Quantum Systems representative told Janes in December 2025.
The Linza 3.0 is equipped with an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled inertial navigation module and can carry a payload of up to 4 kg for nearly 15 km while remaining airborne for up to 60 minutes, according to a QFI press release from February 2026. At the time, the JV added that Linza 3.0 was already deployed with more than 60 units of the AFU.
A previous version of the Linza UAS could carry up to 2 kg for nearly 10 km, based on Frontline Robotics specifications.
