Paraguayan Air Force receives SkyCourier and last Super Tucano

The Paraguayan Air Force received the last of their six new Embraer Super Tucano and the recently purchased Cessna 408 SkyCourier during a 5 October ceremony held at the I Air Brigade, located at the Silvio Petirossi International Airport.
The Grupo Aerotáctico, which operates six Embraer Tucanos, makes up the fleet of combat aircraft of the Paraguayan Air Force, although the force is aiming for the incorporation in 2027 of a batch of AIDC AT-3 Tzu-Chung from Taiwan, a senior officer of the force told Janes .
The SkyCourier, purchased with financing by the Itaipu Binacional company, joins the Grupo Aéreo de Transporte to begin the replacement of the CASA C-212 fleet in personnel and cargo transport missions. It is also the first SkyCourier in military service in Latin America. According to sources within the Paraguayan Air Force, the intention is to buy at least an additional aircraft.
