AW149, M-346, and air-defence orders contribute to Leonardo H1 2026 growth

Orders for Leonardo's AW149 medium helicopter and M-346 aircraft contributed to its first half 2026 results, alongside demand for air-defence equipment.
Leonardo recorded EUR16.3 billion (USD18.6 billion) in new orders in H1 2026, up from EUR11.2 billion in the corresponding period in 2025.
The acquisition of Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV), completed on 18 March, contributed EUR673 million of orders and EUR360 million of revenue during Q2, and brought approximately EUR6.2 billion of backlog into Leonardo. Excluding IDV, Leonardo's H1 order backlog was EUR52.6 billion. Its order intake was EUR15.6 billion excluding IDV, an increase of 39% year on year.
IDV and Indra Land Vehicles announced an agreement on 17 April 2026 for IDV to supply 34 SuperAV 8Ă—8 amphibious platforms for Spain's Marine Infantry Amphibious Combat Vehicle ( VehĂculo Anfibio de Combate de InfanterĂa de Marina : VACIM) programme.
On 10 March Romania's Ministry of National Defence (MND) ordered 860 high-mobility trucks as the third tranche of a framework agreement signed on 30 December 2019, taking the total to be delivered to 2,909. One-third of the new vehicles will have armoured cabs, with deliveries planned until 2029.
