German company Quantum Systems signed a contract with the Ukrainian government to deliver 10 of its Mandrill unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and 10 Zetros trucks equipped with its Mosaic Ground Autonomy Kit, according to an 8 July 2026 press release.
The platforms will be deployed with the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). Quantum Systems did not provide a timeline on deliveries.
The Mosaic Ground Autonomy Kit is built on the open Mosaic UXS ecosystem which supports autonomous delivery, convoy operations and multi-domain missions by connecting ground vehicles with other unmanned systems. The contract with the Ukrainian government is seen as an opportunity to “validate unmanned Zetros trucks and Mandrill UGVs under frontline conditions in Ukraine”, Hendrik Kramer, vice-president of ground domain at Quantum Systems, said in the release.
Quantum Systems' Mandrill UGV was unveiled at the EnforceTac Exhibition in Germany in 2026. The modular UGV can reach a claimed maximum speed of up to 100 km/h, according to Janes Land Warfare Platforms: Logistics, Support & Unmanned. The UGV can be used for logistic support, medical evacuation (medevac), vehicle recovery, and as a launching platform for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The UGV has a maximum payload of more than 750 kg and an electric range of more than 200 km, according to Quantum Systems. It can be fitted with electronic warfare payloads and engineering attachments.
