Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has called for the new PAK-DA strategic bomber to be capable of hypersonic speeds to defeat future air defence systems, according to national media reports.
On 27 August the RIA Novosti news agency quoted Rogozin as saying during a recent TV interview that Russia needs to incorporate hypersonic technology into its next-generation bomber if the country is to avoid falling behind the United States.
