SMi Group, organizers of Global MilSatcom, are proud to present the third annual MilSatCom USA conference and exhibition; returning to Arlington, Virginia on June 27th and 28th 2018.

As the leading meeting in the US, MilSatCom USA 2018 will provide the perfect platform to Identifying and exploring next-generation SatCom capabilities for future military programmes.

With the National Defence Authorization Act 2018; promising ‘Fundamental Reform of National Security Space’, and the Wideband AoA expected to conclude in the first half of the year, this topical two-day conference will address the most pressing issues facing future MilSatCom programmes.

Risks, governance and crisis response

The sixth annual Chatham House Cyber conference will explore the dynamics of state-sponsored cyber threats and assess the main reasons behind the targeting of critical infrastructure and specific sectors by cyber attackers. It will consider strategic approaches to quantify and control cyber risks and improve cyber crisis management practices when things go wrong. Discussions will also assess security considerations for the proliferation of internet of things (IoT) technologies and the design and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and look at how responsibilities for this can be shared.

The 2018 UK Chief of the Air Staff’s Air Power Conference will take place on 11-12 July 2018 in London and will be a highlight of the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Centenary celebration. Senior UK Government ministers, RAF senior officers, key industry partners, science & technology influencers and up to 60 international air chiefs will attend the Conference, the theme of which will be ‘Building the Next Generation Air Force’. Organised by the Air Power Association (APA) in cooperation with the RAF Centre for Air Power Studies, the Conference will reveal emerging opportunities in the air, space and artificial intelligence spheres and will examine the challenges that air forces will face – technologically, structurally and doctrinally – as the Royal Air Force embarks on its second century. Confirmed keynote speakers include Chief of the Air Staff, ACM Sir Stephen Hillier and Minister of State for the Armed Forces, The Rt. Hon. Mark Lancaster MP.
