Most notably, 21 foreign tourists and a security guard were killed when three Islamic State gunmen assaulted the Bardo Museum in the capital Tunis on 18 March, and a further 38 tourists were killed on 26 June when an Islamic State gunman opened fire at a beach resort in the same El Kantaoui district of Sousse governorate.
