The General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic (ACR) announced on its website on 3 September 2025 that the country's special forces would receive 18 High Mobility Transporter (HMT) Supacat Jackal 3 Extenda light armoured vehicles. A British Army vehicle of the type in a 4×4 configuration, with the Extenda module that can turn it into a 6×6 vehicle behind it, will be displayed at the Supacat stand at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition being held in London from 9 to 12 September.
Supacat said in a press release on 5 September that the Czech Ministry of Defence (MoD) ordered the vehicles to equip the Czech rapid response 601st Special Forces Group. The vehicles will replace the group's ageing Land Rovers and reinforce its logistical capabilities provided by the Tatra light truck.
ACR Chief of the General Staff General Karel Řehka said, “The acquisition of Supacat vehicles is an important step towards ensuring the mobility of special forces and their readiness to perform operational tasks in accordance with national and alliance doctrine and assigned capability development goals. At the same time, it replaces the special forces' current light combat vehicles, whose replacement has been necessary for many years.”
