Air Missile Defence Technology

22nd-23rd October 2019

Prague, Czech Republic

www.airmissiledefence.com/janeswl

SMi is pleased to present the 4th annual conference on Air Missile Defence Technology, taking place in Prague on 22nd and 23rd October 2019.

With militaries constantly facing varied threats, operators have crucial requirements for flexible and adaptable systems that can counter the ever-changing battlespace environment. In conjunction with this, constrained budgets mean the importance of allied cooperation is more prevalent than ever and interoperability between systems and national partners is crucial for any future planning.

The need for combined Air Defence programmes has therefore become a common goal for allied forces around the world. With this in mind, and bringing together senior representatives from military, industry and academia, SMi’s Air Missile Defence Technology 2019 conference will centre on developing and improving the technology behind AMD programmes to ensure they are well prepared for future mission requirements.

The 2019 conference will provide a unique insight into:

· GBAD

· Counter Medium and Ballistic Missile technologies

· C-RAM

· Integrated and Networked Radar systems

· Confronting ICBM threats

· Developing coherent international strategies

· And much more!

5th Annual Airborne ISR

23rd – 24th October 2019

London, UK

http://www.airborne-isr.net/janeswl

In the complex and ever-changing strategic landscape, the demand for increased situational awareness continues to grow. As a decisive and indispensable tool, air-based ISTAR is increasingly relied upon to deliver tactical data and intelligence for commanders, as well as deliver effective strategic deterrence.

SMi’s 5th annual Airborne ISR conference will focus on the platforms and supporting infrastructures of Airborne ISR operations when it returns to London, UK on the 23rd and 24th October 2019. The event will cover a range of crucial topics involving manned and unmanned platforms, and data management and dissemination tools.

As well as the extraordinary capabilities of the systems, the two-day conference will aim to examine these platforms and their information context. Attendees will hear senior military and industry experts discuss how an array of platforms are transferring data into operational intelligence.

The role of ISR in national defence has undergone a remarkable expansion lately, with the UK recently delivering the P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and announcing future acquisition of the E-7 Wedgetail. For nations such as the US and Australia, ISR continues to be an investment priority and networking these capabilities is a crucial competence.

Join us this October to hear key developments in airborne systems and the advancement of airborne intelligence. Explore the requirements of the contemporary operational environment and hear the latest technological developments in research and industry that are enhancing ISTAR. With senior international representation from NATO, Canada, UK, US, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, and many more, Airborne ISR 2019 will be an excellent exploration of this key capability.

Maritime Information Warfare

18th-19th November 2019

London, UK

www.maritimeinfowarfare.com/janeswl

SMi’s Maritime Information Warfare conference is returning to London, UK on 18 – 19 November 2019 for its 3rd year, with the aim of exploring how information warfare can be maximised and managed for the modern navy.

The two-day event will focus on the strategies, systems and new technologies set to increase information warfare capabilities, as well as the challenges associated with engaging in information warfare. Gaining operational effectiveness via “information advantage” is vital to the abilities of any Navy, as rapid technological advances change the way maritime forces utilise and manage information.

Key topics set to be discussed at this year’s event include: AI, Information Exploitation and Big Data, Cyber Security and Defence, C4ISR and much more. The focus will be on these key themes, as well as building on the Royal Navy’s Information Warrior exercises, and the latest developments and novel approaches in the sector, as we look at how both military and industry can utilise these capabilities to improve operations.

Major navies such as the UK and US have already established significant cyber divisions, for example the US’s dedicated 10th fleet, which goes to show how navies are recognising the need to prioritise ‘Information Warfare’ in order to maintain strength in the maritime sphere.

Highlights of the 2019 conference include:

  • Keynote Briefing from Commodore Ian Annett, Assistant Chief of Staff Information Warfare and Chief Information Officer, Royal Navy, on the Future of Royal Navy Developments and Capabilities
  • Updates on Maritime Systems and Platforms across NATO and how they are improving Data Exploitation
  • Emphasis on Cyber Warfare, and the importance of more effective Cyber Defence as the maritime sphere becomes more information technology-centric
  • Focus on Artificial Intelligence, in particular how a mixture of automation, machine learning, and unmanned systems are being developed
