The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) awarded Elbit Systems UK a GBP102 million (USD139 million) five-year contract for a new Dismounted Joint Fires Integrator (DJFI) system, it was announced on 21 January 2021. The system will equip Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) and others from the British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, and UK Special Forces responsible for directing joint fires.
Elbit Systems described DJFI as “a networked, passive and active target acquisition solution that acquires, generates, and communicates target information to effector systems for effective engagement of joint precision and non-precision fires”.

It also integrates Elbit Systems’ TORCH-X battle management application (BMA) that is the core of the British Army’s future BMA, which will be delivered as part of the C3 modernisation programme, Project Morpheus.
