The Ukrainian armed forces have taken delivery of new armoured vehicles, aircraft, and vessels, the President of Ukraine website announced on 6 December.

During the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was held in Kharkiv on 6 December and attended by President Volodymyr Zelenksy, the armed forces received new equipment. Ceremonies were also held simultaneously in and broadcast live from Lviv, Odessa, Kramatorsk, Ozerne in the Zhytomyr region, and Kyiv.

The Ukrainian Army received 34 Kozak-2M1 armoured vehicles, T-64BV main battle tanks, and BTR-4E armoured personnel carriers. Three T-64BVs and 10 BTR-4Es participated in the ceremony in Kharkiv. Units received 15 Humvees in Lviv, 13 in Kyiv, and 12 in Odessa.

Air force units in Zhytomyr received two Su-27 multirole fighters, two L-39 jet trainers, an An-26 transport aircraft, and an Mi-8 medium-lift helicopter.

The Ukrainian Navy commissioned two former US Coast Guard Island-class patrol cutters in Odessa. The Ukrainian Military Centre, Militarnyi, reported on its website on 9 December that the Ukrainian Navy plans to acquire seven Island-class patrol boats. Ukrainian Navy commander Rear Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa was quoted on the website as saying that the US government would assist his service by providing ships and boats, adding that current planning calls for a new patrol boat squadron to be based in Pivdennyi.
