Cobham announced its 25 September divestiture on a UK investor website on 28 September. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cobham, which was acquired by US private equity firm Advent International in January, did not indicate what prompted the deal with Draken. Draken did not respond to a request for comment.

Cobham Aviation Services UK, which is based at Bournemouth International Airport in England, operates a fleet of 15 Dassault Falcon 20 business jets for military training. It also performs aircraft maintenance, helicopter training, and helicopter search and rescue.

Last year, the Cobham business received a contract to use Falcons to simulate enemy electronic warfare equipment during training at Royal Air Force Lakenheath.
