Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) subsidiary Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) will unveil a 4×4 multipurpose armoured vehicle at the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO being held in Kielce, Poland, on 7–10 September. The new platform, built in co-operation with Czech company Tatra Export, is classified as a medium wheeled armoured vehicle for a wide range of applications. Thanks to its modular design, the platform could also be developed in 6×6 or 8–8 configurations.

The new vehicle is suitable for reconnaissance, medical evacuation, and to establish command-and-control posts. HSW can also provide additional versions such as a special forces carrier, including for joint terminal attack controller missions, light tank destroyer, and chemical, biological, radiological, and reconnaissance vehicle.
HSW announced the development of the multipurpose tactical vehicle on 8 September 2020 during last year's MSPO. Some will be fitted for command and reconnaissance in Krab 155 mm self-propelled howitzer and 122 mm Langusta 122 mm multiple rocket launcher units.

Hours after the Polish Ministry of National Defence reduced the heightened air defence of its eastern border by its own (including the F-16 pictured) and allied combat aircraft, a Russian cruise missile violated the country's airspace en route to striking western Ukraine. (Polish MND)
A Russian cruise missile launched against a target in Ukraine briefly violated Polish airspace, hours after the NATO country reported a reduction in the threat level on its eastern border.
The Polish Ministry of National Defence (MND) confirmed the incident in which one of an undisclosed number of Russian cruise missiles fired in the early hours of 24 March crossed into Polish airspace where it flew for less than a minute before striking western Ukraine. This happened less than 48 hours after the ministry declared that it was standing down the increased Polish and allied aerial operations across the eastern border region “due to a reduced level of threat”.

Chile plans to acquire MRAP Hunter TR-12s. (Erich Saumeth Cadavid)
The Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of Chile, through the police special operations group Carabineros, has acquired four Hunter TR-12-24-type vehicles made by Colombian defence company Armor International, the company has confirmed to Janes.
The Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles will be assigned to the Public Order Control Prefecture (COP), in development of order control operations on public roads, as well as security and surveillance. The TR-12 would have been purchased for about USD1.7 million and should be delivered in the next two months. The first of them has already been built and will be delivered in April 2024, sources from the defence sector have confirmed to Janes.
The chosen model is the TR-12-24, presented in December 2023 at the Expodefensa 2023 fair in Colombia. The design is based on the CV Internacional with 4×4 traction, with an improved and optimised suspension design that has raised the height of the vehicle. The platform incorporates 14 tactical lights with a new ergonomic seat design, according to its manufacturer.

The Indian Army has outlined a programme to procure canister-launched anti-armour loiter munition (CALM) systems and associated accessories to enhance the operational efficiency of the mechanised infantry.
According to an initial procurement notice issued by the Indian Army on 21 March, the service seeks to procure CALM systems to integrate them on T-72 and T-90 main battle tanks (MBTs), BMP-2 armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs), carrier mortar tracked vehicles, and reconnaissance vehicles.
The Indian Army seeks to procure 180 CALM systems to provide remote-controlled beyond-visual-line-of-sight capability to the mechanised infantry and armoured units at stand-off ranges of up to 15 km to destroy enemy AFVs with a high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead.
