Aero Vodochody showcases Skyfox Drone Hunter

Aero Vodochody has showcased the counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) capabilities of its L-39 Skyfox, demonstrating the advanced jet trainer and light strike aircraft equipped with laser-guided rockets and a laser targeting pod.
Debuted at Leoš Janáček Airport in the Czech Republic for the NATO Days 2026 event, the Skyfox Drone Hunter was flown carrying a pair of LAU-32 70 mm rocket pods on its underwing hardpoints, and a Sinab Phoenix 10 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting pod on its underfuselage hardpoint.

The Skyfox is able to carry a range of payloads and has the option for a gun pod. According to Janes All the World's Aircraft: Development & Production , it has a top speed of 420 kt, a payload of 1,200 kg, an endurance of 4.5 h, a range of 1,400 n miles, and a service ceiling of 38,000 ft. It is reported to cost less than USD10 million to procure.
