Azersilah Defence Industry Holding Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC), an entity subordinate to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry, has unveiled several systems at varying stages of technological readiness intended to address short-range air defence (SHORAD) requirements. The systems were displayed at the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX), held in Baku from 30 September to 2 October 2026.

Four systems were displayed at ADEX, comprising two directed-energy weapon concepts and two conventional SHORAD platforms.

The CWS-30GD Viking is a truck-mounted cannon and missile air defence platform, with its armament mounted on a 360° unmanned turret installed on the roof of a protected module at the rear of the vehicle. The turret is armed with a cannon designated as the ‘Sk30'. An Azersilah representative told Janes that the weapon is chambered for the NATO-standard 30×173 mm round, although the precise type of cannon could not be confirmed. Janes assesses that the Sk30 may be based on an Oerlikon-derived design, given similarities between its muzzle brake and that of the Oerlikon KCE revolver cannon, as well as a their shared calibre.
