Airbus Defence and Space (DS) has delivered the second of a pair of A400M Atlas transport aircraft for the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan made the announcement on 2 November 2026, four weeks after the manufacturer reported on 1 October 2026 that the final technical acceptance checks were taking place at the Seville final assembly line (FAL) in Spain ahead of delivery.

“The second Airbus A400M military transport aircraft has arrived in Kazakhstan,” the MoD said, adding, “The second Airbus A400M Atlas heavy military transport aircraft, designed for the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has arrived in Almaty from Spain.”

With deliveries of its two A400Ms now complete, the Kazakh Air Defense Forces (KADF) will utilise the type to transport personnel, equipment, and humanitarian cargo. Unique among the user community, Kazakhstan has received its aircraft without an in-flight refuelling probe.
