UAC says increased interest in Su-57E Felon and Yak-130M, progressing other projects

Two types of fixed-wing combat aircraft from Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) displayed at the El Alamein Airshow 2026, held 8-10 September in Egypt, have had increased interest from potential customers, a UAC representative told Janes at the Airshow.
The Yak-130M, which first flew in June 2026, is aimed mostly at export, and has an unnamed first export customer lined up, the representative said. The source added that although the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has not been interested in the Yak-130M so far, the company is working on highlighting potential uses such as a counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) role.
Algerian state media reported in February 2025 that Algeria had selected the Su-57E. In November 2025 UAC CEO Vadim Badekha said that two Su-57Es had been delivered to an unnamed foreign customer.
The UAC representative said that Algeria has ordered at least ten Su-57Es, but declined to provide a firm number. They added that the supplied aircraft had not received any significant modifications aside from customer equipment that likely included identification friend-or-foe (IFF) equipment.
They also said that the Su-57 has been active in Russian Aerospace Forces (VVS) service in the war in Ukraine, and that its combat operations have been one of the causes for increased export interest.
