GA-ASI delivers FQ-42A to Creech AFB

A new General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) FQ-42A Vengeance was delivered to Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, the company announced on 21 September.
The aircraft was delivered on 18 September and is expected to participate in “regular test and evaluation operations with the Air Force aimed at experimentation with the new aircraft”, according to the company.
Those experiments will replicate prior demonstrations that used the MQ-20 Avenger as a CCA surrogate, pairing the unmanned platform with manned aircraft such as the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, and McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle.
GA-ASI said it completed its low-observable paint facility to support CCA production in July 2026 and has positioned itself to deliver six aircraft to the US Air Force (USAF) a month, with the ability to increase production if necessary.
It said it plans to build multiple fighters for its own company aircraft fleet as well.
