The Colombian National Army (EJC) has acquired a batch of 3,744 GADCI (Indumil Controlled Deployment Aerial Grenade) aerial grenades, as well as an unspecified number of SLAGA (Air Grenade Launching System) launchers, according to EJC documents reviewed by Janes .
Both developed by Indumil, these capabilities will strengthen EJC's precision attack capabilities using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Both the GADCI grenades and the SLAGA pods are already in operational service with the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battalion (BANOT), a unit attached to the Army Aviation Command, an Indumil source confirmed to Janes .
The incorporation of this system provides EJC with a point-attack capability against personnel, fortified positions, vehicles, armoured vehicles, and installations. The aerial munitions have an accuracy of 1 m and a radius of 15 m to 25 m, the company confirmed.
