Italian aviation technology firm Piaggio Aerospace announced on 24 March that is was extending a deadline for Expressions of Interest (EoI) in acquiring the company to 4 May.
The extension comes in response to the current Covid-19 crisis, with the original closing date for the EoI being 3 April.
The extraordinary commissioner for Piaggio Aerospace, Vincenzo Nicastro, told Jane’s in a statement that due to the Covid-19 crisis the firm has “immediately set up strict measures to protect our employees’ and our customers’ health, which is for us priority number one. We keep on being operational and the company’s sale process goes on as expected.
